Breast augmentation using lipostructure in London, Bordeaux and Royan

Summary

What does a breast augmentation via lipostructure entail?

Breast augmentation using lipostructure is an innovative cosmetic surgery technique offered by Doctor Guillaume Lemierre. The Haute Autorité validated this technique in January 2015. In the 2000s, lipostructure was more commonly used on the face. Today, Doctor Lemierre uses microlipostructure, a more modern technique that gives even more natural and long lasting results.

So, what does this new technique with no scarring entail?

Breast augmentation with lipostructure is a new technique that stems from liposuction. This procedure removes fat from certain zones of the body where it is concentrated (the stomach, buttocks, hips, knees…) and transfers it to your breasts to fill in or increase your breast size. If you are too thin, Doctor Lemierre does not recommend this method because there will not be enough fat to remove. Breast augmentation done with lipostructure is recommended if you have a little extra fat and you have loss volume in your breasts, especially with age or after a pregnancy.

It is also possible to choose to have what we call a ‘hybrid breast augmentation.’ This entails two techniques to ensure the best possible results. If you are very thin, you can combine breast implants with lipostructure to ensure the contours of the implants are invisible. This will give you the best, most natural, and long lasting results.

By choosing this innovative and natural technique, you will have the possibility to thin out your silhouette while increasing your breast size.

What are the advantages and inconveniences?

The advantages of a breast augmentation using lipostructure:

  • An autologous technique (uses your own tissues), ‘organic,’ and natural
  • There are no foreign substances since this procedure uses your living fat cells to provide you with a natural, supple, and long lasting result
  • There is no scarring
  • Very moderate pain, like with a liposuction procedure
  • Your radiologist will read your mammography and the procedure will not effect future breast cancer screens
  • Once the fat that has been reinserted is well situated, there will be no need for additional interventions

The inconveniences of a breast augmentation using lipostructure:

  • The increase in breast size is moderate (you can have two breast augmentations using lipostructure if you want to significantly increase breast size)
  • You must have sufficient excess fat for Doctor Lemierre to perform this procedure
  • If the liposuction is significant, you may feel tired for one to two weeks following the procedure

What can you expect from a typical session?

During the first consultation session Doctor Lemierre will take the time to understand your desires and your expectations. During this session, he will help you make a treatment plan that meets your needs. Guillaume Lemierre and his team will recommend one of the two breast augmentation techniques depending on your height and weight. Whether you have chosen to have the procedure for cosmetic or medical reasons, you can count of Doctor Lemierre and his team to listen to you and answer all of your questions.

Doctor Lemierre will prescribe several examinations before the procedure such as a mammography and/or an ultrasound and will have to determine the current fat volume of your breasts. These examinations ensure you will have the safest procedure.

Just like for a breast augmentation using implants, breast augmentation using lipostructure will also be done with general anaesthesia. Several recommendations: stop smoking one month before and one month after the procedure and avoid anticoagulants for 8 days before the procedure.

The procedure lasts about an hour and a half and requires between 12 and 24 hours of hospitalisation afterwards. Before administering the anaesthesia, Doctor Lemierre will identify the zones where he will remove the fat and then re-inject it. Just like for micro lipostructure, the extraction will be done with a very small tube and the fat injections will be done with micro-incisions done by very small needles.

A natural and long lasting result 15 days to 3 weeks after the procedure

15 days to 3 weeks after the procedure, you will finally regain your feminine identity. As previously indicated, breast augmentation using lipostructure has no scarring and is virtually painless. However, you will have to wait 3 to 6 months to see the final results! This innovative technique performed by Doctor Lemierre also has positive effects on your breast skin. Thanks to the liposuction your silhouette will be improved and better proportioned. You will love your new voluminous and well-shaped breasts.

To maintain the results, it is important that you stabilise your weight. By choosing to have this type of procedure, you are choosing to take care of your body physically and mentally. Doctor Lemierre and his team unanimously agree that no matter which procedure you decide to have, it is essential to continue to take care of your body after the treatment by exercising, maintaining a healthy diet, avoiding the sun, and reducing alcohol and tobacco consumption. To optimise the results of your breast augmentation it is also important to follow the post-operation procedure.

What is the post-operation procedure?

Just as with any other surgical procedure, it is normal to have swelling for 48 hours following the operation. It will take about 3 months for the swelling to completely disappear.

There will also be some bruising near the extraction zones and the re-injection zones. These bruises will disappear about a dozen days after the operation.

Doctor Lemierre recommends that you wear a bra without wiring for about 3 weeks after the procedure since your breasts will be more swollen than usual.

You should wait about 3 weeks before resuming physical activities to allow ample time for the treatment to work and maximise your results.

Breast augmentation using lipostructure does not require any break from your social life. However, it is recommended that you avoid direct sunlight and UV rays for 4 weeks after the procedure, especially in the treatment zones.
